Summer Reading Program
lplibrary : May 21, 2013 4:40 pm : NewsDIG INTO READING IS THE 2013 SUMMER READING PROGRAM THEME. Readers of all ages will explore all things underground this summer as Lake Park Public Library presents “Dig Into Reading” during their summer library program. Activities may include programs on dinosaurs or construction vehicles, animals that live underground or Ancient Egypt, caves, rocks and more.
The 2013 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, preschool through young adult, with programs, prize drawings, story hours, a reading log, and more. Families are invited to join the programs. Note the change of time and location of “Zinghoppers.” They are special guests coming from Nashville, TN. They were named “Nashville’s Best Kids Entertainer” by readers of Parent Magazine for the past 4 years and have performed for the kids of superstars like Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, Brad Paisley, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.

Adult Book Club

The Adult Book Club meets every month at the Public Library. Times can change so watch for posters located uptown and in the library. During the summer we will try to meet the 3rd Tuesday at 4:30-4:30. A book is chosen to discuss each month and is available at the library. We bring great snacks to share and a good time is had by all! Please feel free to join us anytime! Everyone is welcome!
