In March we hosted a Family Storyteller Program funded by the Dickinson County Extension Office. The families that attended had a great time and received new books and materials. Supper was served by several local organizations and was much appreciated! We put a alot of learning into 6 days of March!

Friends of the Library
Our next Friends of the Library meeting is Tuesday, May 15th at 5:00. We welcome new members!
PAJAMA PARTY!
The 3rd grade is invited to a Pajama Party on Thursday, April 19th, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 at the Public Library. Wear your pajamas and bring a pillow, blanket or sleeping bag and prepare for a fun evening of popcorn and a movie! Permission slips will be handed out and will also be available at the elementary school.
National Library Week
The “Friends of the Lake Park Library” are selling colorful bookbags in 5 different colors for $10 each. We still have a few left. Come and take a look! Patrons were treated to cake and coffee one day during that week. 
New Kindle Fire, laptop and color printer!
Come in and take a look at the new Kindle Fire for use in the library. We’ve also added another laptop computer. The new color printer is up and running so we’re able to print off color photos for you as well.
Library welcomes new director
The Lake Park Library is pleased to announce its new director Diane Duitsman. Duitsman began her work at the library on Jan. 17.
Diane’s experience includes work in the Lake Park library system. She has been involved with the Lake Park school system since 1999. Diane and her husband Dennis have grown twin boys and a daughter who attends Lake Park High School. Dennis and Diane are co-owners of Duitsman State Line Plumbing.
